5 Golden Rules for Playground Location
5 Golden Rules for Playground Location
Location isn’t everything. It’s the only thing that matters.

You can have the best equipment, the best team, the best marketing — but if your location is wrong, none of it matters.
Rule #1: Traffic = Revenue
You need to see 1,000+ people walk by your door every day.
Where to find: Mall entrances, supermarket entrances, subway station exits, family restaurant clusters.
Rule #2: Easy Access, Easy Exit
Parents with strollers need to get in and out without difficulty.
Check: Parking availability, elevator access, stroller-friendly pathways.
Rule #3: Complementary Neighbors
You’re not looking for competition. You’re looking for synergy.
Ideal neighbors: Children’s clothing stores, toy stores, family restaurants, bookstores.
Rule #4: Visibility Matters
If people can’t see you, they won’t come.
Avoid: Back corridors, basement locations without clear signage, spaces behind large obstacles.
Rule #5: Don’t Overpay
High rent doesn’t equal high revenue.
Target: Rent should be no more than 10-15% of projected monthly revenue.
